The SCAT canister 5 litre with S60/61 thread is a safe solution for the disposal of liquid laboratory waste in HPLC and chemical laboratories. Made of electrically conductive PE-HD, it provides a robust, chemically resistant design for daily laboratory use. The electrically conductive design supports safe grounding when handling flammable liquids in accordance with TRGS 727, section 4.5.5.

Details

The SCAT canister with a 5 litre capacity, S60/61 thread and PE-HD-EL material is an HPLC waste container for the collection and disposal of liquid laboratory waste in chemistry and analytical laboratories. The electrostatic conductive PE-HD supports equipotential bonding when handling flammable liquids. With dimensions of 194 × 164 × 229 mm, it can be integrated into laboratory workstations in a space-saving manner. The 5-litre volume is designed for laboratories where limited space and frequent, planned change intervals are required. The format enables clear disposal logistics directly at the HPLC system. PE-HD-EL is used where the operational risk assessment requires an electrostatic conductive container for flammable waste. The S60/61 thread is compatible with SCAT Safety Waste Caps with this connection. In combination with an activated carbon exhaust filter, fittings and blind plugs, a closed disposal system is created that reduces emissions directly at the container. The canister thus contributes to reducing solvent vapour exposure in the workplace. The UN approval 3H1/Y1.4/150 identifies the canister as design-tested dangerous goods packaging. The suitability for the respective waste mixture and the requirements of the waste disposal contractor must be checked in advance. As a material, PE-HD-EL enables chemically resistant use with typical HPLC waste mixtures.
