The SCAT activated carbon exhaust filter XL adsorbs solvent vapours and supports a safe, low-emission laboratory environment. The multi-layer filter filling combines specialised activated carbons for solvent vapours as well as acidic and alkaline components. This means that not only typical organic vapours from HPLC waste are adsorbed, but also small acid and alkali fractions from eluents and mobile phases. The high-performance activated carbon with an internal surface area of up to 1500 m²/g and a CTC value of >90 % stands for high adsorption capacity and long service life. With integrated splash guard, replacement label and up to 6 months service life.

Details

The SCAT Activated Carbon Exhaust Filter XL captures solvent vapors directly at the collection drum, protecting laboratory staff from hazardous emissions. Its G3/4" thread allows tool-free installation into the drum opening and is particularly suitable for the safe disposal of HPLC waste in large containers. Thanks to its large activated carbon filling, the filter achieves a service life of up to six months and noticeably reduces solvent levels in the ambient air. An integrated splash guard prevents liquid ingress, while the replacement indicator label signals when a filter change is due. Replacement is quick and requires no interruption of operations. The Activated Carbon Exhaust Filter XL combines reliable health protection with low maintenance effort – ideal for laboratories that need to operate drums containing solvent waste safely and with minimal emissions.
