The SCAT Safety Cap I, B63 is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with B63 thread. 1 capillary port enables clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

The SCAT Safety Cap I with B63 thread is a safety cap for HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with B63 thread. As Cap I, it offers a single capillary connection and forms a closed supply system for HPLC eluents and solvents together with the laboratory bottle. The single capillary connection is suitable for applications where one connection to the chromatography system is sufficient. In analytics, chemistry and pharmaceuticals, the Safety Cap I is used wherever laboratory bottles with B63 thread are part of solvent supply. Within the Safety Cap family, Cap I meets the requirements for single-connection applications; caps with a higher number of connections are available for more complex system configurations. The cap is screwed onto the B63 thread of the laboratory bottle. The integrated ventilation valve opens under negative pressure and allows filtered air to flow in; uncontrolled vapour release is thereby limited. The delivery includes three PFA fittings with 1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm outside diameter – all with UNF 1/4" 28G thread. The capillary tubing can thus be adapted to the respective system requirements. The change indicator documents the replacement date of the ventilation valve and facilitates plannable maintenance intervals. For laboratory bottles with B63 thread, the Safety Cap I thus contributes to reducing exposure and to low-emission HPLC solvent supply.
