The SCAT Safety Cap I, GL/S40 is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GL/S40 thread. 1 capillary port enables clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

The SCAT Safety Cap I with GL/S40 thread is a safety cap for HPLC solvent supply from laboratory bottles. With a capillary connection, this cap type is suitable for supply tasks where a single solvent line is routed directly to the HPLC system. Typical areas of use are laboratory workstations in analytics, chemistry, pharma and research, where organic solvents or HPLC eluents are supplied from laboratory bottles. The Safety Cap I with a capillary connection covers applications where a single solvent channel is sufficient. For supply tasks with multiple capillary connections, the SCAT Safety Cap family offers further cap types. The Safety Cap I is screwed on to laboratory bottles with GL/S40 thread. The delivery includes three PFA fittings with outer diameters of 1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm, all for the UNF-1/4"-28G connection. The ventilation valve opens under negative pressure, allows filtered air to flow in and limits uncontrolled vapour release. In this way, the Cap I contributes to reducing exposure. The change indicator documents the replacement date of the ventilation valve and supports plannable maintenance intervals in laboratory operation. For laboratory bottles with GL/S40 thread, the Safety Cap I enables low-emission, closed media supply.
