The SCAT Safety Cap I, GLS80 is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GLS80 thread. 1 capillary port enables clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

The SCAT Safety Cap I is a safety cap for HPLC solvent supply and fits laboratory bottles with GLS80 thread. The single capillary connection directs the solvent line directly to the HPLC system. The Cap I is used in analytics, chemistry and pharmaceuticals where a single solvent supply line from the storage bottle is required. Within the SCAT Safety Cap family, type I is designed for supply systems with one capillary connection. The GLS80 thread enables direct combination with laboratory bottles of this format. For applications with multiple capillary connections, caps with a higher number of connections are available. The Safety Cap I is screwed onto the laboratory bottle and forms a closed solvent supply system with it. The ventilation valve opens under negative pressure and allows filtered air to flow in; this limits uncontrolled vapour release from the interior of the bottle. Three PFA fittings with 1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm outside diameter (each UNF 1/4" 28G) are included in the scope of delivery and enable connection with common capillary diameters. The change indicator documents the replacement date of the ventilation valve and facilitates plannable maintenance intervals. With a single capillary connection, the Cap I is simple to install and supports organised supply paths in the laboratory.
