The SCAT Safety Cap II, 38-430 for Wheaton is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with 38-430 for Wheaton thread. 2 capillary ports enable clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The SCAT Safety Cap II with 38-430 thread is a supply cap for Wheaton laboratory bottles in HPLC solvent supply. Two capillary connections lead solvent lines directly to the HPLC system; the 38-430 thread restricts bottle selection to Wheaton containers with this external thread. In the Safety Cap family, Cap II stands for two capillary connections. In analytics, chemistry and pharmaceuticals, laboratories use Wheaton bottles as storage containers for eluent and solvent supply. The Safety Cap II helps reduce exposure to solvent vapours and supports a low-emission laboratory environment. The delivery includes six PFA fittings in three external diameters (1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm) as well as one PFA blind plug; all use the UNF 1/4" 28G thread. The blind plug closes an unused connection. The vent valve opens under negative pressure and allows filtered air to flow in; it limits uncontrolled vapour release during solvent withdrawal. The Safety Cap is screwed onto the bottle thread. The change indicator documents the replacement date of the vent valve and facilitates plannable maintenance intervals. All supplied fittings and the blind plug are made of PFA. The 38-430 thread requires a Wheaton bottle; thread compatibility must be checked before use.
