The SCAT Safety Cap II, GL28 is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GL28 thread. 2 capillary ports enable clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

Details

The SCAT Safety Cap II, GL45, in the 90° angled version is a safety cap for HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GL45 thread. Two capillary connections enable two solvent lines to be routed to the HPLC system. The 90° angled design enables space-saving line routing where there is limited clearance above the laboratory bottle or where the lines need to be routed to the side or rear of the working area. This makes the version particularly suitable for densely equipped HPLC workstations. The Safety Cap II is screwed onto the GL45 thread of the laboratory bottle. The integrated ventilation valve opens under negative pressure and allows filtered air to flow in; this limits uncontrolled vapour release. The scope of delivery includes two PFA fittings each with 1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm outer diameter, as well as one PFA blind plug. The connections have a UNF 1/4" 28G thread. The replacement indicator documents the replacement date of the ventilation valve and supports plannable maintenance intervals. The 90° angled version is therefore a space-saving Safety Cap II for GL45 laboratory bottles with two capillary connections.
