The SCAT Safety Cap II, GL28-430 is a hermetically sealing safety cap for safe HPLC solvent supply on laboratory bottles with GL28-430 thread. 2 capillary ports enable clean routing of solvent tubing directly to the HPLC system. The installed air valve opens under vacuum and provides controlled, filtered air intake into the bottle. This reduces solvent vapors, improves occupational safety and optimizes laboratory processes in analytics, chemistry and pharma.

Details

The Safety Cap II with GL28-430 thread is a safety cap for HPLC solvent supply from laboratory bottles. It is screwed onto bottles with GL28-430 thread and connects the storage bottle to the HPLC system via two capillary connections. The Cap II is suitable for applications in analytics, chemistry and pharmaceuticals where two capillary lines per bottle are required – for example two parallel intake paths or two media from one bottle. Screwed onto the laboratory bottle, the Safety Cap II with GL28-430 thread forms a closed supply system. The delivery includes PFA fittings in three outer diameters – 1.6 mm, 2.3 mm and 3.2 mm OD – for common capillary sizes. The vent valve opens under negative pressure and allows filtered air to flow in; it limits the uncontrolled release of solvent vapours and helps reduce exposure. If only one capillary connection is used, the included PFA blind plug closes the second connection. The change indicator documents the replacement date of the vent valve and facilitates plannable maintenance intervals. It refers to the vent valve, not to the entire Safety Cap.
